This month’s licensing gem – The Easybeats

In this month’s gem we want to spotlight an extraordinary rock’n’roll band formed in Australia in the 1960’s: The Easybeats. The band around Stevie Wright had several national top 10 hits like “She’s So Fine”, “Women (Make You Feel Alright)” and “Friday On My Mind”, which was recorded at the Abbey Road studios in London and turned out to be their first big international success. Unfortunately they split up in 1969 but continued making music separately – e.g. Harry Vanda & George Young, remained a songwriting duo and created hits such as “Love Is In The Air” for other artists.

If you’re ever looking for a replacement for a song by The Beatles or The Kinks, it might be worth looking into this catalogue, since we  control this great collection of (mostly) one-stops.
