Gyda from MùM wrote and performed the opening track of the score of the italian movie Il padre d’Italia directed by Fabio Mollo. The song, titled There will be light was co-written with the composer Giorgio Giampà, who also signed the original soundtrack of the film. Giampà mixes 80s electronic and ambient music obtaining a score which is almost a third protagonist of the movie.
The soundtrack album is now available on main digital online stores. Besides the original themes, it includes several songs by italian and international artists from the indie and electonic scene. The album features the song Nothing Arrived by the Villagers and a very intimate and touching cover of There is a light that never goes out by The Smiths. It is arranged by italian dj and producer Rhò and performed by actress Isabella Ragonese, who stars the movie together with Luca Marinelli.
The soundtrack was released by Cinevox Record, cult label in the field of film music, which in the past produced scores by artists like Ennio Morricone, Nicola Piovani, Piero Umiliani, Stelvio Cipriani, Goblin, Keith Emerson, Andrea Guerra and many more.
